My Favourite YouTubers

Hi readers,

Below is a list of my current favourite YouTube channels. It includes a mixture of my all-time favourites, some that I have been watching for years, and finally, some that I have only recently discovered in the past year. I hope this helps if anyone is looking to expand on who they subscribe to or follow. I will be linking the Instagram account linked to the channel next to the YouTube Channel names.

My All-Time Favourites

Elle Darby (@elledarby_)

Where do I begin? Elle creates consistently entertaining content that I have been following for a long time now. I look forward to her new weekly vlogs every Sunday and her catch up stories on Instagram. I love seeing her younger sister Katie, her boyfriend Connor and her lovely dog Herbie on her videos as her relationships are so relatable to my own. I have always wanted a Labrador, so seeing Elle with Herbie makes me so excited for the future. Her fashion sense is amazing, I have even bought an item from her loungewear company Angelle Collection. She is so inspirational as she is coping with a family illness but wants to make sure she checks in with her 'Angels' in case anyone is going through the same situation. Her love for gratitude and spiritual guides has really opened up my eyes, and her catch phrases like 'You do you boo' encourages everyone to forget about what other people think and give yourself some much needed self-care. Also, her home interiors are to die for!

Jade Billington (@jadebillington)

I love Jade's channel! What first drew me in as a subscriber was her DisneyWorld content; her Florida vlogs with her boyfriend Matt were really fun to watch and I look forward to their upcoming DisneyWorld trip! I love watching videos of her and Matt, as they remind me of how silly and playful me and my boyfriend are. She is very relatable, and shares my love for all things Disney and all things cute! Speaking of cute, her gorgeous dog Bunny is adorable to watch when she sits behind Jade in her vlogs. Her lifestyle content is really entertaining and she is also an inspiration as she constantly battles with anxiety, and yet she continues to spread positive and helpful tips to others. I hope that one day I can join her Magic Band Tail Club! I know that I will be a fan of Jade's for a long time and hope that she continues to make amazing videos for as long as possible.

Subscribed for the longest time

Steph Elswood (@stephelswood)

I have been following Stephanie's Instagram account for so many years now, which is the reason why I first subscribed to her YouTube channel. I used to follow her when she was HealthyChefSteph and initially followed for her health and food content but stayed because of how funny and normal she comes across. The story of why she first started her Instagram account is extremely inspiring and to see everything that she has achieved in her life makes her an amazing role model. I liked how she used to call her boyfriend 'Trev' to try and stop her followers from stalking him, that was an amusing yet effective way of keeping the creeps away. I love her Stay Sassy dance/women empowerment events and wish I had the confidence to attend one day. Her company Shop Sasstainable is not only completely on brand for her but it also helps to save the planet. She has made a recipe book Plant to Plate and also volunteers at the Soup Kitchen. She makes helping the community seem effortless, which would in turn encourage others to do the same.

Recently discovered

A list of the channels that I have not been subscribed to for very long but I look forward to seeing what videos they will create for 2020.

Disney Elz (@disneyelz)

I love her passion for Disney and her room is impressively filled with endless amounts of merchandise. You can't help but smile when watching her dancing videos on Instagram, and I completely admire her confidence. I have also discovered Ellie and Nikon's music on YouTube, and I especially love the song 'Devil's Game'.

Lucy Jessica Carter (@lucyjessicacarter)

I started following Lucy because she is one of Elle Darby's sisters, I love her fashion sense and I think that her videos are filled with interesting content. Even though a lot of the videos surround motherhood (which I can't relate to), the videos make me look forward to the future so I am still very interested in watching them. I specifically like her makeup, beauty and homeware videos and I love her consistent pink colour palette.

Gemma Louise Miles (@_gemmalouisemiles)

In my opinion, Gemma has a very similar account to Elle Darby's, which I love, and I think they are both actually friends with each other. I love the grey theme to her videos, her homeware hauls and her clothing hauls. She has introduced a new 'Snacks + Chats' series which I have really enjoyed so far and look forward to watching in the future.

Bethany Francesca (@bethanyfrancesca_)

I have been following Beth on Instagram for a little while, then I noticed that she had made a YouTube channel. I loved the idea as I really enjoy her chatty Instagram stories! She is down to earth, shares many words of wisdom on body positivity and loves Disney. She has similar content to Jade Billington but I feel that she is very honest about all subjects, which I love. I am excited to see her YouTube channel grow.

Special Mentions

The last list consists of channels that I have followed for many years (similar to Steph Elswood). They did not make it into the above categories but I love their content and watch their videos regularly.

Zanna van Dijk (@zannavandijk)

I initially followed her YouTube channel due to being linked to Steph Elswood as they are close friends and provide similar health, plant-based and sustainablility content. I love watching her retreats and trips around the world. She made an inspiring comeback from emergency surgery for a twisted bowel, and yet she always seems to stay so positive.

Brogan Tate (@brogantatexo)

Brogan was one of the first YouTubers that I followed, I loved her Disney content instantly. I now also love all of her lifestyle content and I absolutely love games, so as she associates herself with Big Potato Games, she creates videos surrounding game nights a lot. I also love her monthly favourites videos as I always find that we have similar tastes in the products that she picks.

Jordan Lipscombe (@jordanlipscombee)

I have loved Jordan's account and have been following for a couple of years now. I love her makeup tips, her 'Get ready with me' videos, her clothing hauls and her challenge videos. I love the black and white theme for her videos, I admire her makeup skills and I believe that she has the ultimate hair goals!

Emily Canham (@emilycanham)

I have been subscribed to Emily for years. I love her clothing hauls as the clothes are always items that I would genuinely buy or already own. Her sister Sophie is adorable and I love when she includes her in her videos, as they are always a bit more fun. Her challenge and travel videos are also really entertaining.

Freddy My Love (@freddy)

I love the pink and white theme to Freddy's videos and admire that she has been able to make the theme work during the ever-changing styles and trends. Her affordable highstreet fashion videos are my favourite part of her channel and I also love her travel videos, as they are filled with amazing clips from beautiful countries and useful information about her trips.

Syd and Ell (@sydneymaycrouch + @elliejarrett2 )

Syd and Ell are my favourite YouTube duo, they are both so relatable and down to earth, sharing stories from their lives and stories of their insecurities with their viewers. I love watching their present swaps, their holiday vlogs and their press trip videos as they are both very funny people and have big personalities.
