My Top 10 Life Experiences So Far
Hello everyone! I've always loved challenging myself, pushing myself out of my comfort zone and making lifelong memories which I will cherish forever. The daring Leo within me loves making bucket lists and I want to achieve as much as I possibly can in my life. So today's blog post consists of my top 10 life experiences so far, I'm sure I've left something out and if I remember it I will definitely be posting it on my Instagram, so keep an eye out for that one! :) I am hoping to experience so much more in my life as I believe that this is only the beginning. I wrote this blog post to hopefully give other people ideas on what to put on their own bucket lists, hope you enjoy!
1. Theme Parks
Theme Parks had to be the first experience that I mentioned on this post as it's possibly my favourite of all. I love the overall experience; you've got exciting rides, yummy treats, fun theming, great food, challenging games, cute souvenirs (which I am obsessed with) and typically really great hotels alongside. Two specific favourites to mention, firstly Disneyland Paris, obviously, and Thorpe Park. I haven't been to DisneyWorld Florida before, but I know for a fact that once I go, all my dreams will come true😍 I've been to Disneyland Paris twice and loved every second of it. I will probably have many blogs about my Disney trip to come, so I will spare you the never-ending description for now. Thorpe Park is the second special mention for me as I've been there multiple times over the years, with friends and family, and have had such a great time. My boyfriend and I have stayed in the Thorpe Park Shark Hotel, it was decorated as a marine cabin, had a great restaurant nearby and enabled us to enjoy the park for longer not worrying about getting home. There are plenty of rides for all ages, and also water rides, arcade games and they even have their own man-made beach! Every time I go on holiday, I'm always trying to research where the nearest funfair or water park is, and I would love to visit theme parks more in the future.2. Shark Vision Boat
On my holiday to Majorca, I visited an Aquarium where I got the opportunity to go on a Shark Vision Boat. I had never heard of this type of activity before so was very skeptical to begin with. This was a small square boat with an open top, which would float over the top of a shark tank. There was clear glass by our feet so we could see the sharks beneath us. The member of staff that was guiding the boat was very friendly and spoke good english, he made the passengers feel at ease as he understood that the experience may be frightening for some. This was a scary, yet thrilling experience which I would absolutely do again. I, of course, had to buy a Shark fridge magnet to remember that day forever, when would I ever not buy a souvenir?😂
For my boyfriend and I's celebrations of our yearly 'anniversary', we love to try new experiences so we can make amazing memories, like theme parks, as previously mentioned. However, this specific activity was to walk over the O2 in Greenwich. It was definitely a bucket-list ticking moment. We were given a safety brief before we started, then we put on the harness and safety shoes, clipped ourselves onto the rope and started walking up. It was actually really windy that day which made it more difficult for us to walk smoothly, so, similar to the Shark Vision Tank experience, I was feeling a mixture of fear and fun! There seems to be a reoccurring theme here😂 However, once you reach the waiting area at the top it was honestly a breath-taking moment, I loved seeing London from such a high viewpoint. At the peak of the building in the waiting area, we were not strapped onto anything or enclosed in a protected building, so it was very empowering. I love everything about the O2, from the restaurants, to the cinema, to the exhibitions that they hold every year. I've visited the ABBA exhibition that they held earlier this year, the Star Wars exhibition that they held in 2017 and also played a game at the Hollywood Bowl that's situated under the exhibition centre. I've also been to various different concerts there, from One Direction (I know, it was years ago😂), to Florence and The Machine and more.
For my nan's special birthday, we had Afternoon Tea at The Savoy. Even though I am a fussy eater and I don't actually like tea, I love small cute food, especially when they're arranged in such a beautiful way and served in a venue that is absolutely fascinating to explore. A pianist was playing the piano in the background, the waiters were dressed in really smart suits and the interior was super glamorous. They surprised my nan with a Happy Birthday song and cake, which she loved. Even the toilets were fancy! Therefore, I felt obliged to get a few mirror pictures with my sister. Next time, I would love to go to the Ritz or Claridge's.
When on holiday in Lanzarote, I went on a submarine trip. I loved this, it honestly felt like a once in a lifetime moment, and I hope to do it again one day. I was able to see fish swim past me as if I was actually diving in and see levels of the sea that I would never see normally. We toured large sunken historical ships and sites and we were given details on each section that we visited. There was joyful commentary throughout, and playful music near the end like The Beatles song 'Yellow Submarine'.
Travelling the world and seeing famous landmarks fill me with so much happiness. I am the typical tourist, I want to see all of the well-known, popular statues and read about all of the history behind them. I have always been interested in History, so seeing buildings that once or still do hold so much power and architecture that has influenced the modern world fascinates me. Even in countries that aren't famous for their city landmarks like Majorca, I was captivated by the cathedral in the city of Palma, and the sites that I visited there were a massive contributing factor to why that is one of my favourite holidays. Learning new information about a country's history can make you think differently about the world you see today, as it is information that you were not taught at school so you never had that perspective growing up. Therefore, the more countries you visit and the more you learn expands your knowledge and your points of view become more valuable. There are many cities that are on my bucket-list for the future; Rome, Paris, New York etc.
I visited the very top of the Shard for a viewing experience, it felt like forever in the lift, and once I got to the top I had a glass of champagne at the bar. I decided to go in the evening as I knew that London's city lights would shine bright and you could feel the buzzing atmosphere for as far as you could see. It was quite cold up there, so luckily I brought a warm coat, but the views were simply stunning. I could have sat there for hours just watching the world go by, from such a great height! There's so much to see and you could see it from all angles.
I had the privilege of attending a Satryna Tequila Tasting Evening at Annabel's in Mayfair through work experience. I was mesmerised by the decor inside, I was first taken into The Elephant Room for a social drink of Tequila, which was filled with exotic fabrics and landscapes painted onto the walls; forests, animals and of course, Elephants. Then, I was taken into the Flower Room, where I was to have my sit down meal and a tasting experience of the Tequila that I was reviewing. The room was full of pink and filled top to bottom with flowers and pretty lights, my idea of heaven! This was such a fun and delicious experience, and I was able to take home a large limited edition bottle of Satryna Blanco Tequila. The owners of the company gave a speech detailing the background of the tequila and their vision for the future, they then taught us how to properly taste tequila and what notes that we should try and taste. As expected, I also loved the decorations of the toilets, which was extremely glamorous, pink and floral themed. The whole place looked rich and sophisticated, I definitely knew that this was a unique experience that I probably won't ever experience again unless it was through work.
Theatre has always had a massive place in my heart, and there are so many mentions that I am missing out on here, like Les Miserables, Wicked and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory etc. Yet, I've chosen the Royal Albert Hall as I've visited the venue on a couple of occasions, I love classical performances and as the building is so grand, I am always overwhelmed when I go through the doors and look around. I've seen Cirque Du Soleil perform which was mind-blowingly impressive; the staging, the costumes and the performance! I've also seen Star Wars in Concert, which was a screening of a Star Wars film, but the background music was played by the Philharmonic Orchestra, it was absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend you attend if they continue with their film series. The Star Wars music has always been magical, but the orchestra truly brought it to life and it was quite a moving experience.

6. Travelling/Sightseeing
10. Create my own CD
This one has always been on my bucket-list, but it's incredibly cringey. I'm not claiming to be a good singer at all but I love to sing and I love musicals and I've always wanted to have a practical memory of my love for it. So, for one of my birthdays a couple of years ago my family bought me a voucher from Recording Experience Gifts, so I could have around an hours session in the studio, get my photo taken to put on the CD, then go home with my own CD. It was a really fun day and a really great present idea for anyone who loves to sing! The picture on the right is the picture that was taken for my CD, I was really nervous so the smile is clearly tense😂
Thank you for reading! I would encourage everyone to create their own bucket-lists, so you have goals to look forward to in life and things to aim/save for. They don't have to be extravagant, just things that you know will make you really happy and activities that will give you life-long memories. I am hoping to create a new list soon as I have much more that I want to do. I'm not going to stress out over the time frame of when I do them, I'll just enjoy the fact that I know I will complete them in the future. Hope everyone has a great day!
