What's in my bag? - Staycation Essentials 2020
Hello everyone, happy Friday! Today's blog post is all about what affordable products I make sure I bring when I'm going away for the night or for a staycation! I have very pale skin and burn easily so I definitely have to adjust my bag depending on the weather, it is likely to be a large shoulder bag, so I can fit more helpful items in there. If you're looking for something, I'm likely to have it! Like a Mary Poppins bag, it's got everything that you'll ever need😂 If I've missed something useful, then give me a message, so I can add to it!
Essentials for a Staycation
1. Hand Sanitiser
2. Protective Face Mask
3. Fan & Umbrella
This has been a new edition because of the recent changes in weather that have occurred, I always overheat and hate the feeling, so a fan is a necessity for me! I bought my fan from Amazon, it is called EasyAcc and I love it, it's also pink!😊 I also make sure that I have an umbrella as you neverrr know what the English weather wants to throw at you, to test your patience when you're just trying to enjoy a nice weekend break. The umbrella that I have is the New Look Pink Bee Umbrella, really affordable, does the job and looks so cute!
4. Lip Balm
My lips can sometimes dry in the constantly changing climate. My absolute favourite is the L'Occitane Shea Ultra Rich Lip Balm, I am obsessed with this lip balm, I love the texture and the smell.
5. Mini Perfume & Deodorant
I know this is an obvious one but I'm specifically thinking to put it in your day bag when you leave your accommodation for a day out. You never know when you may need a top up. My perfume is the Jimmy Choo Blossom, this is my favourite scent by far, and in a cute pink bottle. For deodorant, I just use the standard Dove Original, it works for me, and I think it's the best smelling deodorant, but each to their own.
6. Hairband & Clips
This is incase I need to get my hair off of my neck, it can get really uncomfortable in the heat and also fly around uncontrollably when it's windy.
7. Plasters
My feet become irritated and sometimes swell if they burn (My skin is very sensitive to the sun, and I found that out the hard way😂) so a lot of my shoes really rub on the skin. During heatwaves, you are more likely to get blisters or if you're exploring on a day out and walking a lot. I've left the house thinking my feet feel fine, then I walk a little bit more and instantly regret not wearing a plaster, so it's best to always bring some.
8. Chewing Gum
If you are going for a meal and want to eat something with a strong flavour, then it's best to always carry these.
9. Glasses Spray & Cloth
This is just a personal one, but if anyone wears glasses then be my guest to copy. If there's a potential chance of rain, then it's best to be prepared so you don't end up blinded by the rain droplets😂 This specific product has been the best one I have used so far for my glasses. I have the Ecomoist Natural Lens Cleaner and Cloth from Amazon, I'm just using this one for now as I haven't been able to go to the Opticians lately due to the pandemic.
10. Earphones
This is if I'm doing a lot of travelling and need something to occupy myself on the way there and back. The ones I use are just the standard iPhone earphones.
